Hyderabad: Inspector files complaint against traffic ACP
Hyderabad: An additional inspector lodged a complaint against a traffic ACP alleging that he had posted an objectionable message in the WhatsApp group created for sharing official information.
Humayunnagar additional inspector G. Raju of Hyderabad Commissionerate in his complaint said that he was a member of the WhatsApp group created by the Public Relations Officer and the group had officers from all ranks including senior officers. The group was meant for sharing official information by members.
On Wednesday, one contact number 9490616102 with profile name ‘acptraf7’ posted an objectionable message regarding reservations. The message said that reservations destroyed the country and buried talent in India.
Replying to the post, Mr Raju requested the group admin to take disciplinary action against the person who posted the 'derogatory' post. After that another additional inspector of the group posted a message saying "Speaking against reservations is nothing but humiliating the Constitution of India."
He said the PRO had posted various other messages in the group but did not respond to his complaint. On Thursday he lodged a complaint with Humayun Nagar police requesting action against the person who posted the image.
"The officer is using an official number and on an official platform he is posting his personal opinion. Despite my request there was no action from the group admin also," Mr G. Raju said.
Humayunnagar inspector S. Ravinder said they are checking the complaint and have forwarded it for legal opinion. "Based on evidence we will proceed," he said.
