Dharmapuri: In a shocking development, the Dharmapuri police on Thursday arrested three people including a teacher of a private tuition center for raping some schoolgirls studying in classes ten and plus-2. They were arrested after a victim informed her parents about the incident leading to the police complaint against the accused people.
Police said, 27-year-old Siva Kumar, 26-year-old Eswaran and 25-year-old Sivakumar were arrested after coming to know about their involvement in this heinous crime. The trio was running a private tuition center in Palacode of Dharmapuri. Girl students of classes ten and plus-2 in surrounding villages of Palacode joined the center. It was alleged that trio asked their victims to stay in the center after other students had gone home.
Then, the girls were drugged before they took turns to rape the teenage victims. They also made video clips of their act, said police. The girls were repeatedly raped by threatening them to upload the video clips in the social media if they fail to accept their wish. Siva Kumar, Eswaran and another Sivakumar were produced before the Palacode magistrate on Thursday and were
remanded to judicial custody.
