TCS techie dies in lodge a day after arrival in Hyderabad

The ambulance staff checked his pulse and declared him dead.

HYDERABAD: The police on Thursday said that a techie, who was working with TCS, died on Wednesday under suspicious conditions at a lodge at Gachibowli. He was from Jagdalpur in Madhya Pradesh.

Apoorva Chaturvedi (36) had come to the city on a transfer from Haryana on Monday and was found dead, said the police. He was working at Gurugram in Haryana and was recently got transferred to TCS facility at Gachibowli in the city.

On Monday, Apoorva along with his wife Priya and son Aarush came to the city and were staying in a lodge at Gachibowli. On Tuesday night, the family had dinner and went to sleep at 11.15 pm. The next day in the morning, at about 7.45 am, Priya woke up and saw that her husband was lying motionless on the bed.

According to the police, she immediately informed the lodge management and called for an ambulance. The ambulance staff checked his pulse and declared him dead.

The Gachibowli police said that the techie had reportedly suffered a massive cardiac arrest and passed away in his sleep.

His body was shifted to Osmania General Hospital mortuary and was later handed over to his wife after the autopsy, said the police. A case of suspicious death was registered for the probe.
