A case has been registered and six persons have been booked for gang rape.

Lucknow: Six persons have been booked in Moradabad district for allegedly gang-raping a woman who was given triple talaq by her husband for playing ‘loud music’. She also alleged that she was asked to perform halala, a practice in which a woman divorcee marries someone else, consummates the marriage and then gets a divorce. This makes her lawful to the former husband.
The father of the victim said that his daughter was given triple talaq after she mistakenly increased the volume of the music system which angered her husband. A senior police official said, “The woman said that she was given talaq, but her in-laws have denied this. A case has been registered and six persons have been booked for gang rape”.
