Hyderabad: A supervisor of the Azaan International School was arrested by the Golconda Police on Saturday for sexually assaulting a four-year-old LKG student by luring her with chocolates during a science exhibition held in the school on Friday.
The incident came to the fore when the girl complained of pain to her father. She was taken to a hospital, where she narrated the episode to the doctors. A case has been booked against the man.
“The teachers and staff were occupied with the ongoing science exhibition at the school in Tolichowki, when the supervisor, identified as Jilani, lured the girl by offering chocolates. He took her to a secluded part of the school and committed the offence,” the Golconda police said.
When the girl’s father arrived to fetch her from the school, she complained of stomach ache. She was taken to a doctor where the turn of events unfolded.
The angry parents and relatives rushed to the school to confront the school management which reportedly tried to hush up the incident.
The agitated parents and relatives stormed into the school and damaged furniture and also pelted stones at about 10 school buses on the campus, the police said. They added that they did a mild lathi-charge to bring the crowd under control.
