Hyderabad: A 45-year-old woman working as a contract labourer was killed in a road accident in LB Nagar. The deceased Balamani was ran over by an overspeeding mini bus.
According to the police, Balamani, a resident of Vinayak Nagar Colony in Bandlaguda, was working as a contract labourer in the water board office near her area.
On Thursday night, while she was returning home after her work, the driver of an overspeeding bus rammed onto her. As the vehicle was at a high speed, Balamani flung in the air and fell at a distance. She sustained severe injuries on the head and other parts of the body and died on the spot.
Police registered a case of death due to rash and negligent driving against the bus driver who was identified as Manish and is absconding. The body was handed over to her family after postmortem.
