Vijayawada: An upcoming heroine has accused a Telugu film director and an actor of attempt to rape. She said that in the name of film shooting at Bheemavaram, the director and the actor had attempted to rape her on Tuesday. The heroine approached the Vijayawada Patamata police.
The police has not registered the case yet as the complaint was received late in the night and as enquiry is on.
Vijayawada police commissioner Goutam Sawang said, “Just now the woman complained at the Patamata police station. The facts are being checked. It will take time to complete the enquiry.”
Police sources said they had taken film director Chalapati into custody for the attempted rape.
They said a woman approached the Patamata police alleging an attempt to rape by film director Chalapati and actor Srujan.
The complainant said they had picked her up in a car saying about the shooting schedule at Bheemavaram.
She said they raped her near Nidamanuru. As they tried again on the way she escaped from them and approached the Patamata police.She said she had come in front of the media to get the culprits punished.
