Telangana: 11-year-old boy's body recovered from a tank
Hyderabad: The body of madrasa student Mohd Faiz, 11, who drowned in a tank in Shaheennnagar was retrieved by the National Disaster Response Force on Saturday morning. Faiz had slipped in the Sandal-ki-Bowli, tank on Friday while trying to retrieve a Quran he found floating in the water. Soon after, he drowned, police and fire personnel started efforts to recover the body. As their efforts could not succeed, they sought the help of NDRF team.
The NDRF personnel started pumping out water from the tank on Friday evening. The search operation continued throughout the night. On Saturday morning the NDRF team brought two boats and started work. “The body was stuck in a 30-foot deep well located in the corner of the tank. After pumping out around 12 feet water the body was visible and recovered,” said Balapur sub inspector V.V. Reddy. The body was shifted for postmortem.
