Nampally and Ameerpet police officials raided several liquor businesses on Thursday night.
According to an assistant director of the hotels and restaurants division of the tourism ministry, bars for five-star hotels are subject to the liquor policies of the state.
Hyderabad: Excise commissioner R.V. Chandravadan has asked managers of bar and restaurants to maintain effective surveillance at their premises.
During a meet between liquor businesses and excise officials, the commissioner also asked pubs to cancel offers, including the extremely popular ‘happy hours’.
“Also, these enterprises must stop minors from drinking. Proof of age is must,” he said.
Meanwhile, Nampally and Ameerpet police officials raided several liquor businesses on Thursday night — and booked cases against those who were serving drinks to minors.
