Attingal man shot dead in Saudi

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A 40-year-old native of Attingal was shot dead by assailants at his restaurant at Al Afilaj in Saudi Arabia on Friday. The deceased was identified as Nazeer, son of late Meera Saheb and Amina Beevi of Kochuvila, Alamcode near Attingal, Thiruvananthapuram. As per sources, Nazeer was running a restaurant at Al Afilaj, around 350 km from Riyadh since a long time.

Three men suspected to be Saudi citizens came to dine at his restaurant and engaged in an argument with him over the bill. Nazeer ousted the trio from the restaurant, but they came back and shot him dead at around 12.30 am on Friday. His body will be buried in Saudi Arabia. He is survived by wife Seena and children Ashiq, Nazri and Nehra.
