Hyderabad: The dead woman found at Erragadda Mental Hospital has been identified as G. Laxmi Narsamma, 55, by SR Nagar police. The woman had a missing case registered against her at Jubilee Hills police station.
The butchered body was found in the hospital bushes on Thursday, while her legs were dumped on the terrace of the Male Ward building.
Doctors said that soon after the body was found, they ran a check on their patients and revealed that she was an outsider.
“Narsamma, was a resident of Tilak Nagar and came to meet her daughter at Rehmat Nagar in Jubilee Hills. On Thursday, she went to a toddy shop and went missing. A missing case was also registered at the police station,” said Mohd Waheeduddin, SR Nagar police inspector, adding that CCTV footage in the vicinity is being enhanced.
Police suspect she was murdered elsewhere and her body was dumped on the hospital premises.
