Hyderabad: A Hyderabad youth was killed in a car accident in Melbourne, Australia.
He has been identified as Yousuf Tahniyat Mehdi, 35.
The accident occurred when the car that Mehdi was travelling in collided with another car at Ballan Road at Manor Lakes on Thursday.
According to his family, Mehdi has been staying in Australia since 1998 and works in a private entity. He is survived by his wife and two children.
On Thursday, Mehdi was returning home from work, when his collided with another car coming in the opposite direction.
According to reports, the car that Mehdi was travelling in had run over the road divider and rammed into a car coming in the opposite direction.
While Mehdi died on the spot, the driver of the other car escaped with minor injuries.
Yousuf Mehdi’s family members have requested the Union minister of External Affairs, Ms Sushma Swaraj and minister for NRI Affairs K.T. Rama Rao, to help the family to bring back Mehdi’s body.
