Hyderabad: Two persons pretending to be godmen allegedly drugged family members of a businessman and escaped with Rs 1 crore worth jewellery and cash at Banjara Hills on Wednesday night. The incident occurred at the house of Madhusudhan Reddy, owner of Lifestyle shopping complex, at MLA Colony. Banjara Hills.
Police said the duo told family members they could solve any health issues they were facing. They asked the family to place all their money and jewellery at one place. The conmen later gave prasadam to the family members, who felt dizzy after consuming it. Meanwhile the conmen made away with the money and jewellery. Mr Madhusudhan Reddy was admitted in hospital.
