Hyderabad: Police arrest man wanted in eight cases

The police recovered two motorcycles and 68.5 grams of gold ornaments worth Rs 3 lakh.

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad police arrested a notorious property offender on Tuesday and invoked the preventive detention Act against him. Police said Md Talha Ahmed, of Golconda was wanted in Hyderabad and Cyberabad commissionerates since 2017.

Police commissioner Anjani Kumar said Ahmed had been absconding ever since the PD Act was imposed on him and had been concealing his identity to avoid arrest. Ahmed is reportedly involved in eight thefts and has been creating panic among women.

The police recovered two motorcycles and 68.5 grams of gold ornaments worth Rs 3 lakh Ahmed. He has been sent to judicial remand in Chancalguda jail.
