Telangana: Inspector injured in car smash
Hyderabad: An inspector working with the communications wing of the Telangana Counter Intelligence Cell was injured seriously when his car rammed into a Metro pillar in Saroornagar on Monday. The mishap occurred when Venkateshwarlu lost control of the car.
Surepally Venkateshwarlu, a resident of LB Nagar, was on his way to a college for his daughter's admission. While passing through the Metro rail station in Chaitanyapuri he saw a bus coming from behind at high speed. In an attempt to take his vehicle towards the right, he lost control on the wheel and rammed the vehicle on the Metro median. The car came to a halt after hitting the pillar. The inspector was injured seriously in the accident.
Passersby rushed him to a nearby hospital where he is said to be recovering. Meanwhile, Saroornagar police said they did not receive any complaint.
According to police records, the vehicle which the inspector was driving is registered in his name and has a fine of Rs 235 pending for violation of stop line in Madhapur in December 2013.
