Bengaluru: Student victim not interested in pursuing case

The girl is not coming forward to pursue the case.

Bengaluru: The inquiry into the alleged sexual abuse incident in Maharani’s College, Sheshadri Road, in the city has taken a curious turn. Mr V.S. Ugrappa, chairman, Expert Committee on Preventing Sexual Violence against Women and Children, who had visited the college following the allegation, on Monday said that the student who made the allegation was not interested in pursuing the case. “The girl is not coming forward to pursue the case, it seems,” he said.

Meanwhile, the inquiry committee, led by Bengaluru Urban Zilla Panchayat CEO Manjushri N., has submitted the report to the Department of Collegiate Education.
