Guntur: Minister for social welfare Ravela Kishore Babu lodged a case against unknown persons for damaging his vehicle on Saturday night during his visit to the accident site in Guntur where seven workers died.
The minister lodged cases under IPC Sections 341, 427 and Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act. The Section 341 of the IPC states that punishment for wrongful restraint and the Section 427 states that whoever commits mischief and thereby causes loss of Rs 50 or more shall be punished.
The Pattabhipuram police officials explained that the minister lodged the complaint for the damage to his car. The police said that the case had to be investigated and then establish the accused persons.
In fact, the mob who were under fear, tension and angry over the failure of the government in controlling the builders who caused death of seven workers, attacked the minister’s car. Here, all the seven victims belong to Gottipadu village in Prathipadu mandal.
