Bengaluru: Three Omanis click women in pool, held
BENGALURU: Clicking pictures of women while swimming in a pool, landed three Omani nationals in jail after they were arrested by HAL police in Diamond District on Old Airport Road on Saturday evening. Some women noticed the trio clicking pictures of the women swimming, without their consent.
They approached the resident welfare association, who in turn lodged a police complaint. The arrested have been identified as Mohammed Saleem Saif (29), Abdullah Saleem Sayed (30) and Mohammed Khawif (30).
The three are brothers and had come down to the city a few days ago. They were residing at a service apartment in Diamond District. Police said they had come to visit their ailing parents, who were undergoing treatment at Manipal hospital.
Investigations revealed that on Saturday evening, the three brothers had gone to the pool area. There they tried to click photographs of women residents of the Diamond District swimming in the pool. However, an alert women resident saw them and informed the residents association, who in turn alerted the Old Airport police.
The police rushed to the spot and arrested the three based on a complaint filed by welfare association. Old Airport Road police have registered a case and begun investigation.
