Hyderabad: Now arms charge in YSRCP leader case
Hyderabad: Cyberabad Police on Thursday night registered a case against one A. Satish Kumar, who had allegedly threatened YSRCP leader Gale Balreddy with a weapon.The case follows a fight between Balreddy and Shastry on Thursday. It is alleged that the former attacked the Yapral realtor after a long-standing dispute.
Police said Satish, who had rushed to Shastry's house, when Balreddy and his associates arrived there, pulled out a gun and threatened them. Police on Friday arrested Balreddy and two associates and produced them before court. Officials said the three had arrived at Shastry’s residence with an intention to attack him.
A stunned Shastry is believed to have called his friend Satish, a textile merchant, who stays nearby. Satish rushed to the spot and then drew his gun to threaten Balreddy and his associates.
An attempt to murder charge was registered against G. Balreddy and his two associates while a case under the Arms act has been registered against Satish. According to officials, he has a license for the weapon but cops are probing its use.
