Hyderabad: The 13th additional district judge's court on Friday convicted 10 persons for the murder of an advocate and sentenced them to life imprisonment.
Ashok Reddy, an advocate from Baghamberpet, was murdered near the revenue office in Serlingampaly when he and a client were going to take possession of a land. A group of people attacked him with swords. He was taken to Osmania General Hospital, where he was declared brought dead.
Chandanagar police registered a case under sections 147, 148, 302 r/w 149 of IPC and section 27 (2) of Arms Act and arrested 10 persons, namely S. Prathap Reddy, S. Jagadeshwar Reddy, S. Shekhar Reddy, T. Vikas Singh, S. Dasharath, S. Srinivas Reddy, S. Anji Reddy, S. Krishna Reddy, V. Krishna and A. Satyanarayan in connection with the murder.
