Two cheat Cyberabad woman of Rs 7 lakh, arrested

The suspects were identified as Mridul Kapoor and Sumith Singh Solanki, owners of an online toy store.

Hyderabad: The Cyberabad cybercrime wing nabbed two Delhi-based cyber fraudsters on Thursday for cheating a city based woman to the tune of around Rs 7 lakh in the guise of a lottery. The suspects were identified as Mridul Kapoor and Sumith Singh Solanki, owners of an online toy store.

Recently, a woman from Madhapur purchased a toy for her son from the portal www.shopppingflavour.com After delivering the toy, she received a call from a person who introduced himself as an employee of the portal and informed that she had won a car in a lottery and also asked her to deposit '1.5 lakh as the registration fee and collected her bank account details as well.

However after the funds were withdrawn from her account, the suspects stopped responding to her calls and SMSes.

Based on technical evidence, the suspects were nabbed from Delhi and brought to the city on a PT warrant.
