EXAM FRAUD: Four arrested for leak of question papers for Dilopma Board exams
Hyderabad: The police at Abdullapurmet in Rachakonda arrested four men, including the chief examination superintendent and observers, for malpractices in the Diploma Board exams and leaking question papers to their students.
The arrested were Gidda Krishna Murthy, 57, admin officer at Swathi Institute of Technology and Sciences; Samudrala Venkateswarlu, 31, Mathematics lecturer and chief superintendent of the college; Keshetty Krishna Mohan, 28, civil lecturer & joint superintendent of the same college; and Manda Venkat Ram Reddy, 47, chemistry teacher of a government college.
The malpractices occurred in the exam for the board’s Diploma regular examinations for C18-III and V semesters and C21-1 semester held on February 8 and 9 at Swathi Institute of Technology and Sciences, Batasingaram, Abdullapurmet, stated police commissioner Mahesh Bhagwat.
“Murthy, Venkateshwarulu and Mohan worked at Swathi Institute of Technology and Sciences and Ram Reddy was an observer for the exams. They ganged up and hatched a conspiracy to increase the pass percentage of their institute so as to raise their college’s reputation in semester examinations.”
