Bengaluru: Husband fixed car GPS 4 days prior to shooting

The tiff was going on between the couple for the last 6-7 months.

Bengaluru: The accused in the Soladevanahalli shootout case, Rajesh, has revealed that he had installed GPS tracker in his wife's car just four days before the incident.

Sources said that he was depressed after had came to know of his wife Shruthi Gowda's extra marital affair. Though she denied it, he began suspecting her fidelity.

“The tiff was going on between the couple for the last 6-7 months. Though his in-laws were informed about the affair and they had advised Shruthi to stay away, she reportedly did not mend her ways.

“She told Rajesh that she had no contact with anyone, but Rajesh found it hard to believe as she was always reaching home late. She told him that she was busy at work and meetings, whenever he questioned her," an official said.

Rajesh reportedly lost his patience when she started neglecting their two daughters.

"She reportedly did not take care of them and did find time for them. On many occasions, she had gone out on Sundays telling she was going to office. Then Rajesh decided to catch her red handed. Four days before the incident, he told his wife that he will leave her vehicle for service. He had asked a mechanic to install a GPS tracker near the engine of the car. Without knowing, Shruthi took out the car to meet her paramour," the official added.

It has also come to light that Rajesh had a driver and on the fateful day he took Rajesh and his father near Acharya College. "As per Rajesh's statement, he had not informed the driver where to go, but was directing him based on the movement of Shruthi's car. The driver, who was shocked after the shootout, drove the Rajesh and his father to the station. He will be treated as eyewitness," the official said.
