Sources from the department said that based on the preliminary enquiry report, the DG may transfer the DSP to another prison.

Hyderabad: Following allegations of sexual harassment by Dasharatham, deputy superintendent of Cherlapalli Central prison, the director general of prisons Mr Vinoy Kumar Singh on Thursday directed DIG of prisons B. Saidaiah to probe into the issue. The DIG on Thursday visited the prison and recorded statements of the woman staff and others. Statements were of a few SC and ST staff who had complained to the DG earlier were also recorded. Sources from the department said that based on the preliminary enquiry report, the DG may transfer the DSP to another prison.
