Hyderabad: Police arrested a woman and her son for killing her husband and dumping the body in the Musi River. K. Sathyavathi hit her drunk husband with a grinding stone for constantly accusing her of an incestuous relationship with her own son.
The victim, 44-year-old K. Ravinder’s body was found in a water drum in on the banks of the Musi a week ago. K. Sathyavathi and son K. Saikumar, 19, confessed to killing Ravinder.
Police said Ravinder had been harassing Sathyavathi whenever he got drunk. “He also accused Sathyavathi of having an incestuous relationship with her son,” said an official.
On December 3, he stole Rs 3,000 from his wife and drank. “When his wife asked him about the cash he quarrelled with her. In a fit of rage she picked up a grinding stone and hit him on the head. She then called her son Saikumar and asked him to come home. After reaching home he picked up the same stone and hit his father till he died,” said inspector V. Umender. After that Sai hired an auto trolley, put the body in a drum and threw it on Musi’s banks.
