3-year-old boy found murdered on Children's Day in Visakhapatnam

The police is yet to ascertain that the boy was murdered by his father but circumstances indicate that Babu Rao is the accused.

Visakhapatnam: While children across the country were celebrating Children’s Day on Tuesday, a three-year-old boy was found murdered at Maredpudi area under Anakapalle rural police station limits in Vizag district.

The boy’s father, Egala Babu Rao, who was suspecting the fidelity of his wife, is said to have plunged a crowbar into his son Egala Dinesh Yadav after hitting him on the head with the same. Inspector of Anakapalle rural police station K. Ramachandra Rao said that Babu Rao committed the murder under the influence of liquor.

Investigation has revealed that Babu Rao tied a knot with Parvathi over six years back. They had a daughter E. Durga Jyotsna, 5, and son Dinesh Yadav. Suspecting the fidelity of his wife, Babu Rao used to have heated arguments with his wife and fight with her after consuming alcohol for the past one year.

Unable to bear the physical and mental harassments from Babu Rao, Parvathi had left for her parent’s house with the children around two weeks back. On Monday night, Babu Rao went to his in-law's house and after an argument with his wife, brought back Dinesh to his home. On Tuesday morning, Dinesh was found in a pool of blood. Babu Rao fled from the spot.

The police is yet to ascertain that the boy was murdered by his father but circumstances indicate that Babu Rao is the accused.
