Bengaluru: Sangh Parivar man's car set afire, BJP workers protest
Mysuru: A car belonging to an advocate, who is also a member of the Sangh Parivar, was allegedly set on fire near Aigoor in Somwarpet police limits in Kodagu district on Sunday night.
The car belonged to one Padmanabh, and the incident occurred around midnight when the vehicle was parked near his house. BJP members, led by MLA Appachchuranjan, protested near Puttappa Circle in Somwarpet and alleged that it was a petrol bomb attack.
They alleged that PFI had a hand behind the attack and submitted a emorandum to the tahsildar on Monday. But Kodagu SP P. Rajendraprasad denied that it was a petrol bomb attack and said kerosene was used to set the car on fire, he said.
The police have not got any clues so far and have registered a case under section 435 of IPC at the Somwarpet police station. The investigation is on based on the complaint filed by advocate Padmanabh.
