Bengaluru: A 41-year-old financier was shot dead by bike-borne assailants at Doddabelavangala in Doddaballapura taluk in Bengaluru Rural district on Friday evening. Financial dispute is suspected to be the reason behind the killing. The deceased, Muddukrishna – a resident of Chikkabelavangala, was a farmer and a financier.
He was on his way home from work on his two-wheeler around 5.30 pm. Unidentified miscreants allegedly followed him on a bike and shot him at Doddabelavangala. Passersby, who found him lying in a pool of blood, thought it could be a case of accident and rushed him to the hospital.
“He was declared brought dead at the hospital. The doctors, who examined the body, confirmed that he died after sustaining a single bullet injury. The assailants have pumped a bullet in his chest and it has killed him instantly. Since not many people were at the scene of crime, it is not known how many people were involved in the murder. The preliminary probe, however, revealed that the assailants had come on a bike,” the police said.The Doddabelavangala police have taken up a case of murder and are investigating.
