Hyderabad: A 30-year-old woman committed suicide on Friday, demanding Gattuppal village in Nalgonda district be declared a mandal, even as protests demanding mandals continued to the state. Tension prevailed in the village after 30-year-old B. Soni set immolated herself as the government did not respond to the demand.
Following the incident, the Nalgonda SP deployed a large number of cops in the village. E. Yadaiah, who had set fire to himself on Wednesday, was discharged from the hospital and he joined the protest on Friday. He again threatened to commit suicide opposing the police presence in the village.
