HYDERABAD: Two days after the murder of seven-year-old Sai Prasanna at her home in Medchal, police is suspecing the involvement of her aunt. Police is investigating if she was assisted by a man, possibly her lover. The motive is suspected to be a long-standing family dispute.
“We have got some clues and we are trying to connect the missing links. Probably in a day, we will be able to crack the case,” said Cyberabad commissioner of police Sandeep Shandilya. The parents could not give any details of a family dispute that could have led to the murder.
On Wednesday, the assailant had cut the wrist and neck of Sai Prasanna and left her bleeding in the washroom when her parents had gone out for work.
Police inferred that the assailant was aware that her parents were away. There was also no sign of anyone breaking in, which led to cops to believe that the killer was known to the girl.
