Hyderabad: Hyderabad task force sleuths caught A Sainath and Nagaraju, who are working as Sanitary field Assistants in GHMC circle-14, Goshamahal, who were indulging in creating fake fingerprints of sanitation workers working under them and claiming their wages illegally. Another accused, V Vijay Kumar, Supervisor in GHMC circle-14, is absconding. Thirty-one fake fingerprints and three biometric attendance machines have been seized from them.

Police said the accused, A Sainath, Nagaraju, along with V Vijay Kumar, were assigned to check the attendance of the sanitation workers through a biometric device which is allotted by the
GHMC authority officially.

Taking advantage of this, they created fake thumb impressions on workers using gum and candle wax and used the same to mark the attendance of the workers when they reported late to duty or when they were absent and collect commission from them.
