Hyderabad: Task force police caught A. Sainath and Nagaraju, sanitary field assistants in GHMC Circle-14, Goshamahal, for creating fake fingerprints of sanitation workers and claiming their wages illegally. Another accused, V, Vijay Kumar, supervisor, is absconding. Police seized 31 fake fingerprints and three biometric attendance machines from them.
Police said the accused the trio was assigned to check the attendance of sanitation workers through a biometric device. The trio created fake thumb impressions of workers, using gum and candle wax, and used them when the staff were absent.
