Hyderabad: Paramour's son kills 40-year-old

He was living alone in a house as he got separated from his wife about 12 years ago.

Hyderabad: A 40-year-old man was killed by his paramour’s son at Choutuppal on Thursday evening. The accused, who learned that his mother was under threat, used a stick to kill the man, who was reportedly troubling his mother, police said.

According to the police, the deceased has been identified as Banoth Ramesh, 42, a native of Khammam, was living in Bangarugadda area in Choutuppal for the last six years. He was working at a rubber factory since he moved out of his village for livelihood. He was living alone in a house as he got separated from his wife about 12 years ago.

Choutuppal inspector A. Venkataiah said, while working at the rubber factory, Ramesh got close to his colleague Jyothi. As the latter’s husband abandoned her, she was living with her two sons at Lingojiguda. Ramesh and Jyothi entered into an illicit relationship. A few months ago, Jyothi’s husband returned home, and she started avoiding Ramesh.

Unable to bear being avoided, Ramesh constantly troubled Jyothi by calling her to meet him. On Thursday evening, Jyothi, along with three women, were heading home on foot. Ramesh, who was in an inebriated condition, confronted her. He was also holding a stick in his hand. The other women panicked and ran away. They informed Jyothi’s son Prasad.

“Prasad rushed to his mother’s rescue. Following heated arguments between Prasad and Ramesh, Prasad garabbed the stick from Ramesh and hit the latter to death. Passersby alerted the police,” said the inspector.
