Chennai: Man held for killing sibling

Chennai: The city police have arrested a 27-year-old man for killing his brother after they got into a brawl on Thursday night. The accused killed his 29-year old sibling and fled the scene.

According to the police, the deceased, who has been identified as Lakshmi Narayanan (29) of Mosque Street in Kancheepuram, is a caterer. The arrested was identified as Narayanan (27). The incident happened around 11 pm on Thursday night, when they both were in an inebriated state.

 

Police said that both the brothers did not have a cordial relationship and on Thursday night they started fighting and as the argument intensified Narayanan sliced his brother’s neck with a sharp knife and fled the spot. On information, Vishnu Kanchi police rushed to the spot and sent the body to Kancheepuram government hospital for post mortem. Police registered a case and nabbed Narayanan by Friday evening.
