Bengaluru: Depressed after being diagnosed with tumor, a 70-year-old man jumped to his death from the fourth floor of his apartment in Hulimavu police station limits, early Friday.
The deceased has been identified as Ranjan Chaudhary, a resident of Doddakammanahalli. He was living with his son and his family. According to the police, he was recently diagnosed with tumor in his stomach and since then he was depressed. Around 2:30 am he jumped from his balcony and died instantly.
The security guard, who was on duty, heard the sound and rushed to spot and found him dead. He immediately alerted his family members, who were asleep.
The Hulimavu police have registered a case and sent the body for postmortem.
