Bengaluru: 16-year-old girl ends life
Bengaluru: A 16-year-old SSLC student committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling at her new house in K.P. Agrahara police station limits on Friday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Sushmitha B., a resident of Bhuvaneshwarinagar in K.P. Agrahara. The family was living in a rented house right opposite to their newly built house, which was awaiting completion of interior works.
According to the police, around 10 am Sushmitha went to the new house and locked herself in one of the rooms and took the extreme step by hanging to a ceiling fan.
Some of her relatives, who had gone to the new house, heard the sound and rushed towards the room and broke the door open. They immediately rushed her to a nearby hospital, where she was declared brought dead.
The police said that her parents were shocked after hearing about the incident and the police are yet to ascertain the reason behind the suicide.
The K.P. Agrahara police have registered a case and begun investigation.
