ADILABAD: A tiger attacked and killed a cow in the forests on the borders of Bejjur and Penchikalpet mandals in Komaram Bheem Asifabad district on Friday evening. The incident caused panic among people of nearby villages as the tiger movement was sighted near their villages.
The cattle grazers shouted for help on seeing the tiger jumping on the herd of cattle and killing a cow.
The villagers say the tiger was hiding in the bushes and attacked the herd of cows and went inside the forests when cattle grazers raised alarm. The local forest officials visited the place and inquired about the incident and promised to give compensation for the cow which was killed by the tiger.
