Kerala-based Gang Arrested in Hyderabad for Robbing Rs 7 Lakh Cash

Hyderabad: Task Force team along with Domalguda police arrested four Kerala-based offenders on Saturday who had robbed Rs 7 lakh cash from an employee of a private firm at Himayathnagar. The police also recovered Rs 3.25 lakh cash, a car and a bike used by them in the offence. The rest of the amount of Rs 3.75 lakh was used to clear debts of the main accused Thansif Ali, police said.

According to the police, Ali earlier worked for the private firm owner and knew the business well. As he was in need of money, he along with his associates, Muhammed Sahad TV, Thanseeh Barikkal and Abdul Muhees TM, hatched a conspiracy to rob money from him.

As per the plan, they travelled from Kerala to Hyderabad in a car and a bike and waited at the owner’s office. They then followed an employee who was carrying cash to be deposited in a bank.

When the employee was disposing of cash in the ATM machine, two of them first sprayed pepper spray on him, assaulted him and robbed the cash from him.

Based on CCTV evidence and other clues, police identified the suspects and deputed special teams to nab them. Based on a tip off, they were nabbed on Saturday.
