Hyderabad: Cyber fraudsters have duped a city resident to the tune of Rs 5.03 lakh on the pretext of providing Mont Blanc products at a 60 per cent discount.
The Cyberabad cyber police on Friday said that a complaint was received on Thursday regarding the fraud where the suspects created a fake website in the name of Mont Blanc. The victim had received a message on his mobile phone from ‘HP-MONTUK’ that there is a 60 per cent discount along with a link https://www.montblancofficial.com.
Following this, the victim selected some products worth Rs 12 lakh which was discounted to Rs 5,03,140. He made a phone call to the number provided on the website as customer care to enquire about the delivery of the products. He was told to pay the full amount to get the products within three days. He paid up but got nothing.
