Activist threatens she will cull' hunter Nawab Shafath Ali Khan
Hyderabad: Nawab Shafath Ali Khan, a prominent shooter from the city who has culled wild animals for various state governments, has filed a police complaint with Delhi police against Gauri Maulekhi, a trustee of animal rights group, People for Animals.
Khan claims Maulekhi threatened him with physical harm after he appeared on a news channel’s televised debate on June 11, in New Delhi. According to his complaint, Maulekhi warned Khan to stop participating in culling of animals or she will not hesitate to “cull” him.
He alleged in his complaint that the activist threatened to implicate him in false cases, Khan said that she had abused him verbally calling him a poacher with a criminal background.
Khan has come under heavy criticism after he culled a large number of wild animals in the country recently, including 250 Nilgais in Bihar.
