Hyderabad: An overspeeding bus belonging to a private engineering college ran over a seven-year-old boy at Keesara on the city outskirts, killing the boy on the spot. The boy was identified as Lakshmi Deepak, the only son of S. Anandbabu and Jaya.
The family was staying in Ahmedguda village under Keesara Police Station limits. On Monday evening around 4 pm, Deepak studying, Class I in a nearby private school, went to a nearby kirana store to buy toffees. On his way back, while he was crossing the road, the bus belonging to Geetanjali Engineering College hit him and ran over him crushing him to death.
Bystanders rushed to the spot and nabbed the bus driver and thrashed him. A case of accidental death was registered against the bus driver and he was detained.
