Vijayawada: A woman was attacked with a sharp weapon causing a deep cut to her neck by her paramour suspecting her character at Sattenapalli in Palnadu district on Thursday.
According to Sattenapalli police, Sheik Fathima, 28, a divorcee and a native of Dachepalli, was in a live-in relationship with Tulasiram hailing from Gurajala at Sattenapalli for the last five years. However, Tulasiram assaulted her with a sharp weapon on her neck causing severe bleeding, following a heated argument over an issue and absconded.
The police booked a case and investigation is underway.
