Hyderabad: Man thrashed by drunk youths, dies
Hyderabad: Three youngsters picked up an argument with the parents of an auto driver at his home alleging him of rash driving at Rajendranagar. The argument lead to a scuffle between the driver Shahzeb’s parents Shaikh Ibrahim(58) and Shakira Begum, during which they tore her clothes. Angered Ibrahim confronted them. Their son Shahzeb who saw this intervened and the trio beat him. When Ibrahim intervened, they pushed him away due to which he fell down and later succumbed. Police has booked a murder case against three persons identified as Mujaheed, Imran and Jaffar.
According to Police, Shahzeb a resident of Jalal baba nagar under Rajendranagar Police station is working as an auto driver. Last Tuesday afternoon, while he along with his friend Asif were returning home in his auto. Midway to avoid a pothole, when he swerved his vehicle to left, it missed one Mujaheed who was walking on the road.
Mujaheed got angry with this and picked up an argument with Shahzeb, which lead to a fight. Passersby intervened and dispersed them. The same night, Mujaheed went to Asif’s home and beat him.
Meanwhile on Friday night, the trio came to Shahzeb’s residence and started abusing him standing on the road. Shahzeb’s parents came out and asked them to go away as Shahzeb was not at home. This lead to a scuffle between the youths and the elderly couple. They assaulted Ibrahim and tore the woman’s clothes. Shahzeb who just arrived home. They dragged him aside and started beating him with fist blows.
