Tirupur: The relatives of the Dalit youth, Shankar, who was murdered in Udumalpet, went on rampage damaging electric lights and generators at the crematorium and did not allow the funeral to be conducted on Monday evening.
Shankar’s body was brought to his native village of Komaralingam on Monday night amid tight security by the police who had made arrangements for generator, lights and firewood at the crematorium for cremating the body.
