Kolkata: Two on motorbike open fire outside Loreto school, one injured

Kolkata: In an untoward incident, two motorcycle-borne miscreants fired gunshots at a youth, leaving him injured outside the Loreto School in Kolktata's Entally on Monday.

The injured, identified as Bacha Kalu, was taking a relative’s child to the school when the perpetrators shot a bullet at his leg, leaving him injured.

He was immediately rushed to the nearby NRS ( Nil Ratan Sircar Medical College and Hospital) hospital after the incident.

According to Kalu, the miscreants had a fall out with him over some issue which might have provoked them to take on him.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Eastern suburban division) Dubrojyoti Dey said “ There were two persons on the motorcycle. The miscreants, identified as Bablu and Elu belong to a group of criminals."

As suspected by the police, the mishap might be an outcome of gang rivalry. Besides, the police is looking into the details of the kid to further consolidate the case.
