Robbery in new Ameerpet corporator Sheshu Kumari's house
Hyderabad: Burglars targeted the house of the newly elected Ameerpet corporator Sheshu Kumari early on Sunday and decamped with a gold chain, Rs 20,000 in cash, a tab and one mobile from the bedroom. The incident happened when she was sleeping in the bedroom. Police is investigating.
Sheshu Kumari, a resident of Sundarnagar, was elected as a corporator of Ameerpet division in the GHMC elections. On Saturday night, she and her husband, children, father and a maid servant slept in the house. At around 5 am, her father woke up. Since the maid slept near the rear door of the house, he went out by opening the front main door. He came back after completing his work and slept again. When Sheshu Kumari woke up at around 6 am, she discovered she was robbed. She hurried to her son sleeping in the next room to enquire about the missing things, but was shocked to know that his mobile was also missing.
“ Some professional thieves could be involved in this incident and he could have done it in less than a minute. We cannot rule out the role of known persons also,” said SR Nagar additional inspector Syed Abdul Khader Jilani.
Based on a complaint from Ms Sheshukumari, a house theft case is registered. Police is investigating the case.
