Two pedestrians died on spot in separate incidents in Sadashivanagar and Ulsoor

Bengaluru: Two pedestrians died on spot in separate incidents in Sadashivanagar and Ulsoor traffic police station limits since Saturday night.In the first incident a 75-year-old woman died on the spot when a goods tempo hit her while she was crossing the road near Palace Guttahalli bus stop early Sunday in Sadashivanagar traffic police station limits.

The deceased has been identified as Chinnakannamma,a native of Tamil Nadu. The vehicle sped away.According to police,accident happened around 6 am, when she had come to the city to meet her daughter.As she got down at Palace Guttahalli bus stop, she met with the accident.

Police officials said they have received the CCTV footage and are on lookout for the accused. Sadashivanagar traffic police have registered a case.

In another incident, a 52-year-old pedestrian died when a speeding bike hit him while he was crossing the road near Gangadhar Chetty Road in Ulsoor traffic police station limits on Saturday night.The deceased has been identified as Bahadur Chettri, a native of Assam and a security guard at a private company. According to police, the accident happened when he was returning home after work.

An inebriated biker hit him from behind and hit Bahadur, who sustained head injuries and died on the spot.The three riders on the bike also fell and two of them were hospitalized.

Ulsoor traffic police have registered a case.
