Husband Get Life Term for Wife's Suicide
Anantapur: Proddatur Second ADJ Court on Wednesday sentenced to life a husband after prosecutors proved that he had provoked his wife to commit suicide in Proddatur in Kadapa district.
According to police, Jakki Prasad, 30, resident of Adarsh Colony in Proddatur town had got married to Raja Rajeswari, aged 21 years, seven years ago. Rajeswari’s brothers promised to give five tulas of gold jewellery as dowry.
However, when they failed to do so, Prasad started harassing Rajeswari. The harassment became so acute that Rajeswari committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling of her house on July 7, 2016.
