Hyderabad: A 19-year-old student from Zaheerabad, who posted the private pictures of a married woman on social media and also shared them with her family members to disturb her family life, was convicted by a court and imprisoned for three days.
The accused Shaik Mudabbir Ahmed is a resident of Zaheerabad in Sangareddy district and was pursuing his graduation.
For several months, he had been harassing a married woman who was his relative. He had been asking her for sexual favours.
When she refused and stopped talking to him, Ahmed clandestinely took her phone and transferred her private pictures onto his phone, and ever since has been using them to blackmail her.
The She Teams police said that Ahmed created a fake Facebook profile and posted the woman’s pictures by tagging her profile and also her family members and friends.
It has even created a rift between the victim and her husband.
Following her complaint, the accused was arrested and produced before the court, which convicted him of the offence and imprisoned him for three days and also fined him Rs 200, said the police.
