Eamcet Paper leak: CID issues notice to JNTU
Hyderabad: The Telangana CID which is probing the Eamcet II (Medical) question paper leakage scam, has issued notices to the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) and also to the Delhi-based printing press. The investigating agency has asked the university and the press management to respond to the notice within ten days.
Officials from the CID confirmed that they have asked the university information, on the procedure followed by them while conducting entrance exams. They have also asked them to submit the minutes of the meetings held to discuss about conducting the test. Meanwhile, the printing press management was also asked to submit details on the number of papers printed at the press and the procedures followed.
Earlier the CID booked a case for the irregularities that occurred in the process of the entrance test and found 82 persons involved. So far 60 persons have been arrested, including the mastermind Shivabahadur Singh. They also found that Singh had a history of leaking question papers of competitive examinations since 2005. In 2015, he was involved in the TET examination leak case and two similar cases related to Public Service Commission examinations in Punjab. He also masterminded the J&K teachers examination paper.
